Walking with a dead man over my shoulder.
((What follows is a report that Nia submitted to her superior officer, Luciand Silverdrake, on the matter of Lureidys Vel'qualion. The report is written in a careful hand and on decent parchment; Nia labored over it for some time and had to produce multiple revisions in order to excise all the errors and colloquialisms. The copy is far from flawless despite her efforts.))
Knight-Lord Silverdrake:
As per your order, I have been investigating the trustworthiness of the death knight you pointed out to me. I discovered his name--Lureidys Vel'qualion--and I met his son. I, in fact, inadvertently drew them together. It was not something I meant or wanted to happen, as I do believe that Lureidys has dark designs on each one of his family members. His son, for instance, has an incredible scar on one half of his face, a scar inflicted while all involved parties were still alive, which leads me to believe that Lureidys is a right wicked thoroughly suspect man and was even prior to his current state.
However, I also know for a factual that Lureidys suffered very much at the hands of that same son and the rest of his family, and I don't reckon believe that to be proper, either. Furthermore, when questioned on the nature of his acts, Lureidys responds not with indignation or spite, but instead the calm belief that he has the sovereign right to exercise control and dominance over his family, and that his death was an unprovoked betrayal. In other words, Knight-Lord, though he is not a good man, he does not think himself to be a bad man, seemingly.
Though I also believe he is much given to lying as it benefits or amuses him, and so I could be wrong even on that account. True enough, though, he's a dangerous kind. But I cannot in all fairness report to you that he is any threat to the security and balance of the City at large, nor to its citizens generally. I have no proof to sustain any actual accusation, either.
I will conclude this report with asking to you to offer me a different assignment, Knight-Lord. Lureidys is exceptionally difficult to deal with on a personal level and I do not think pursuing him is a fruitful or practical use of my time. He will not commit any bad acts in plain view and he is too sly to be caught out by one person alone. Additionally, you know that I am not training to be a fighter, and I could not likely overpower him even if we were to come to a confrontation. Therefore, please, do not force me on this fool's errand any longer.
I will, of course, abide by whatever you decision make.

I still got no idea what to do about this man.

((Lureidys actually finds this report to be acceptable. He hopes the Blood Knights will leave him the hell alone so that he can continue to make the living suff-- go about his business.
Avali, on the other hand, feels nothing but sympathy for the poor girl. She knows what it means to promise yourself to a cause that requires you to put yourself through hell.))
((It took her so very long to write it! Her mother taught her formal diction but it doesn't come to her naturally at all.
Commander Ma'am, if only I could go to the Front>: ))
((I love her crossing out reckon and writing in believe. <3 She reminds me charmingly of Dorothy Gale from the Oz books.))
((I am pleased that you are pleased <3 Nia should meet Lu! And ... everyone, ever, because I have especially lately been wanting to play someone with more of an even-tempered personality ._. ))
((I am totally going to be on tonight la la la! I LIEK TINY PALADINS.))
