Eriene
Character Biography
- Physical Appearance
Ordinary would be the word chosen at first glance. There is nothing extravagant when it comes to appearance. By height, she is average like most females of her kin, and her pale features are modest and youthful, showing little signs of her personal choice to vanity. While well kept and combed through, light tinted strands fall flat and frame around the Knight's visage which serves as a window to her reclusive nature. A long and thin scar runs down the left side of her face, often covered by her hair.
It is a broadcast event to witness her away from her armor. More often than not she will be caught patrolling in the uniform that was assigned to her. Despite her reluctance toward anything else, when she is attempting to don the standard of social normalcy, her casual attire is conservative. Even when caught in the situation that demands such uneventful garments she can be accused of fidgeting with the sleeves as though she were uncomfortable in what she would classify as 'vulnerable' dress. Without gauntlets, there is also a gold eternium band wrapped around the ring finger of her left hand, depicting a marriage.
When she speaks, her voice is soft-spoken. If a situation requires greater element, however, she will not forgo the necessity of speaking in a tone reflective of her command. Rarely seen will it be a time when positive emotion can be read in her expression for the unyielding, stalwart face of a mission-oriented soldier is what has and will continue to publish rumors regarding the existence of a hypothermic heart.

- Personality
At first meeting, Eriene usually comes across as a detached and callous individual. Some have often referred to her as 'cold' and 'frigid'. As a Blood Knight of Silvermoon City, it is the nature of the beast. Rarely seen will it be a time when positive emotions are seen in her demeanor; an effort to intimidate those around her.
She is infallible in her beliefs and is protective of her lands, people, and those who do succeed in the seemingly impossible task of getting close to her. There have also been unrecorded moments where her bad temper would dominate the best of her. Like everyone else, however, amiable qualities can be found.
- History
Eriene and Darcaine are the two fraternal twins born to Aradan and Marilla Duskbane. Unlike conventional families that many came to know, it was their mother who had grown in the strength of the Light and mastered it in the service of a priestess, the twins training under her. Their father was the counter balance; a quaint baker whose focus on the value of the family was paramount. Trials and tribulations marked a rough road for the Duskbane family through the wars but it was nothing they could not pull through until the Scourge invasion fell upon them during the Third War. The twins and their father fell back to Sunstrider Isle while Marilla ran to strengthen the front lines. She became one of the first to fall under Silvermoon's banner of heroism.
Months after the ferocious battle and with their land in ruins, the loss of the Sunwell and his wife became an overwhelming burden that Aradan did not have the fortitude to bear. He fell victim to the addiction that came from the lack of mana provided by the Sunwell and succumbed, slowly, to the Wretched. As their father became uncharacteristically crazed one night, Eriene and Darcaine fled to the dark corner of a room. There, to protect them both, Darcaine was forced to kill his own father with a sword.
Devastated, it was Darcaine who decided to pick up the proverbial blade of his mother's service and be one the first to join the Order of the Blood Knights. Eriene's soft and delicate nature of her father encouraged her to pursue her path as a priest as she watched her brother slowly work his way up the ranks. His strength driven by revenge and the urge to serve the Prince were the fuel that fanned the flame of his growing passion.
He was one of the few Blood Knight Masters ordered to Draenor, chosen among many others to accompany a regiment to the Manaforge Ara in Netherstorm. Eriene awaited patiently in Quel'thalas for any sort of word from her brother after his first letter but that wait turned into weeks, to months, and then to a year. The delicate nature that was once hers began to twist up much of what happened to her brother. In the absence of her twin's presence which continued to lengthen into loss of hope, the song of a sword began to call to her much the same way it did with Darcaine.
Her sight became lost on her priestly goals. Having still heard no word of her brother in these hard times it was natural that she could only assume the worst. Feeling as though she'd lost everything for the sake of the Light, the last smolder that could have grown into an inferno of faith in it became extinguished. She dropped her books and, like her brother before her, dedicated herself to the path of the Blood Knight. To this day it is the coveted tabard of the phoenix that she wears with great reverence.
