Character Biography

Physical Appearance

Regardless of his eyebrows always set in a 'hold on I'm thinking' look, that may be mistaken for a slight scowl, he always looks at ease and approachable. His chocolate brown hair is always kept just well enough to be considered neat. There's no other hairstyle for him beyond keeping it tied back when long, or shorter and relatively smoothed down. For some anomalous reason, Liotuse seems to have his dark brown eyes back. A glimmer of cheer constantly in them. Any facial hair he grows is trimmed short immediately or shaved off if not part of his goatee.

He looks every inch of a knight, common or of the Silver Hand, with his broad frame and toned muscle. Though he doesn't look some some meathead, there's still some mass to him. When relaxing, he's usually leaning against something and looking very at ease. But... if there's a person making trouble around or someone that looks a future threat to him or his friends, Lio gains a sudden edge. Like a jungle cat poised to strike.

History

Liotuse mostly keeps to himself to spare people his little slice of drama, but has had his story spilled out a few times before. His father was an acting knight in both the First and, when he was killed in battle, the Second War. His father's ways is what introduced Liotuse to the way of the sword since he could remember. His father had been lost in combat while Lio was still an infant, thus causing him to pray to the Light each day to keep him and his mother safe.

The sudden expansion of his knight training to paladin training was simply being in the right place at the right time. Liotuse had been practicing mounted combat against a fellow student, when some Knights of the Silver Hand approached the grounds. Their presence had, embarrassingly, thrown him off and got him knocked off his horse. Regardless of the incident, they saw the strong faith in him and took him to be trained.

It was, for lack of better words, a crash course in the ways of the Light as he was slowly tempered into a divine warrior. Due to the new Horde, Thrall's Horde, having the skirmishes to continue to free more orcs, his training had been cut short to move to the front lines...

...Where he was promptly switched to combating the Cult of the Damned and Scourge shortly after. He was one of the many in Arthas' personal army, following what looked like Lordaeron's savior up until Stratholme. Liotuse more than gladly followed behind Uther and Jaina, finally taking a personal leave to go back home, only to find his house near demolished, his mother dead and torn apart inside.

With nothing to hold him back now, he took what was undamaged and took his place on the fleet headed for Kalimdor. Working side by side with Thrall's Horde was an incredibly foreign concept for him, and found himself rather at ease once the Kal'dorei banded with them against the Burning Legion. After Archimonde's defeat, he took up a sailor's life in Theramore.

With everything somewhat settled down, all the grief caught up with him, not finding the inner strength and instead finding it at the bottom of mugs and flasks. His terrifyingly powerful drinking habit ended after a night where he nearly drowned upon stumbling off the deck, nobody else out and on duty.

Deciding he needed a second fresh start, Liotuse sold off nearly every belonging to give him the money required for a trip to Stormwind City, and purchasing a small home in Elwynn Forest. His faith in the Light was rekindled, leading him to further success in life as he eventually moved into the city itself.

Personality

Liotuse's first impressions are... quite horrible really. To women, he simply starts flirting with them and drowning them in compliments. With other guys, he drops a few clever, often humorous comments that will either help them bond... or get them to hate him. He plays up having an ego the size of the Maelstrom, and that he's the most important and amazing person on Azeroth. More often than not, it's just out there to entertain his friends.

Underneath the carefree, witty, and "charming" exterior he's actually every inch of a paladin, except not as zealous and a little more tolerant of things (like death knights and warlocks). He often believes in a fair fight but isn't above using dirty tactics like a knee to the groin or going after a foe when they're down.
Sometimes, an unhealthy habit he's working on to break, is bottling up thoughts and feelings, simply trying to ride things out.

Due to him never really having -close- friends, he can be a bit socially awkward in more dire or emotional situations when they occur to those he knows now. He does try to say what he thinks is right then, or remains silent.
