Character Biography

Physical Appearance

Timath is pretty average to all appearances, with a dancer's build, long legs, and slightly taller than the norm. He looks, at the same time, too thin and very dangerous. His face is sharp but not gaunt, weedy-green (and usually slightly unfocused) eyes set above high cheekbones, an upturned nose, and curved lips practically designed for those mischeivous smirks he's so often seen wearing. His hair is a coppery mess that somehow rarely tangles despite being worn long and carelessly.

His mannerisms tend towards the effeminate, and his hips swish when he walks. He's been told it's hypnotic. Though he's usually blatantly addled by some sort of substance, the smell of smoke is rarely found hanging on him.

If you think I'm going to detail every scar he has, you're crazy.

Personality

There's no arguing it -- something's broken in Timath Vo'aren's brain. He's learned to keep up the appearance of normalcy despite it, aided by an addiction to a veritable cocktail of herbs and drugs that keep him what he would describe as 'sane'. But there's no denying that he doesn't act the way an elf is expected to.

Impulsive is the best word for him. If he wants to do something, he does it, with no mind to or regard for the consequences. He's fairly cheap, the sort who would bring a knife to a fist-fight and a gun to a knife-fight. Violent, stubborn, quick-tempered, flirtatious - really, the negatives just pile up. His redeeming qualities are few.

His brokenness can come across as innocence, at times. He sees people in very black-and-white terms: either they're his friends, or they hate him, and his opinion on where they stand can vary wildly with every conversation he has. He has a desperate need to be liked, and when people he feels positively about do something to make him unhappy the result can be... messy, at best. He's also not book-smart in the least, with a clear lack of the most basic of knowledge about numerous subjects. (His depth of knowledge about the things he knows is fairly astounding, however -- and he's a quick study when he can see the need to learn a thing.)

He is literally incapable of comprehending emotions -- those of himself or others -- and has a great deal of difficulty reading facial expressions, body language, and even tone of voice.

It's no wonder he's kind of a wreck.

History

This much is on the public record about Timath Vo'aren:

He is the fourth of five children. He grew up an orphan, raised by his older brother, Mathiu Vo'aren (who would later find employ as a Ranger, gaining a record of his own). He is alleged to have killed his youngest sister. He is a known arms dealer, a known assassin (with reputation), possible drug trafficker, and has connections with Goblins - both in Booty Bay and elsewhere.

Digging deeper into the underworld, it's easy to find out that he's... got a reputation. For things. "Stalking" might've been bandied about. "Crazy" might also have been. "Homosexual" definitely was, but Tim ardently denies it.
